Certified ENCI Blue Great Dane Breeding with Enci-Fci Kennel Name
Holder of the SIA Italian Great Dane Society Breeding Trophy from 2017 to 2021 and Winner of the Best in Show breeding groups at the European Championship

We are the first Italian Great Dane breeding facility to be registered in the Enci Certified Breeders Register, as recognition of the quality of our canine work, distinguished by compliance with current regulations, the choice of selective breeding, and ongoing professional training.
We are a kennel dedicated exclusively to Blue Great Danes with Enci-Fci affix, Enci Certificate, signatory of the Enci code of ethics, registered in the Enci Breeders Register, Enci Breeder Member, and member of the Italian Great Dane Society. We are located in the Sabina countryside near Rome, just a few kilometers from the Ponzano-Soratte exit of the A1 motorway.

Our Great Danes are treated with love and respect from their very first day of life, growing up at home and in the garden, always together with their mother and in close contact with humans. The parents of the puppies are selected for morphology, temperament, intelligence, balance, and health, undergo X-rays for dysplasia control and an echocardiographic examination. The puppies we raise begin to breathe in our hands and receive a strong imprinting on humans. In the neonatal phase, the puppies are handled and stimulated regularly every day to accelerate the development of their nervous system and promote the stabilization of their emotionality. During their growth, we offer the puppies continuous contact with us and their mother, visits from strangers, children, and other pets, to teach them the right level of emotional reaction to various external stimuli. The correct behavioral development of the puppy is in fact of fundamental importance for its future integration into human society, because, even if temperament has a hereditary basis (and the temperament of the Great Dane is the most wonderful I have encountered in the canine universe), much of the adult dog's behavior depends on how it was raised in the first weeks of life and even on how the mother was treated during pregnancy. We breed no more than three litters a year and are structured to allow the puppies to grow up both indoors and outdoors.

There are people who believe that the selection of genealogy and registration with ENCI are only for dogs destined for dog shows: nothing could be more wrong. A genealogy carefully selected for morphology, character, balance, and health is instead a true mark of quality for the dog, and this is all the more necessary in the case of a giant like the Great Dane. Behind the birth of a puppy from a serious and certified breeder, there is a great deal of work in selection, care, and socialization. It is in this way and with this commitment that healthy, happy, beautiful, and balanced Great Danes can be born and raised, who will be fun, intelligent, and reliable life companions, to take anywhere and to be proud of.

I am Tamara Papiccio, certified breeder and Enci breeder member, Enci-Anmvi master breeder, canine behavior therapist, cognitive-behavioral trainer and instructor, and mobility dog technician. I have been fortunate to grow up with many dogs, and animals are a very important part of my life. As a human being, I recognize that I owe them a great debt of gratitude, as they have allowed me to develop much of my ability to relate, to mediate, and to be open-minded—that is, my very own culture. Great Danes, for me, have given me the awareness of the value of the "bond," understood as friendship and love in their highest meanings.
My Great Danes are for me what Konrad Lorenz calls "the animal with the value of home," meaning they are able to make me feel complete, happy, and at ease wherever I am if they are with me. What I appreciate most about Great Danes is their sense of humor, which is one of the great resources of civilization, because they always manage to make me laugh with their funny poses, bringing me back to the reality of living in the present moment, when my mood is affected by the fluctuations of the mind typical of us humans. Great Danes also never cease to amaze me with their capacity for reflection thanks to their very high reaction thresholds, reminding me every time how vast their intelligence is.
